Provisions
Because we frequently use the apartment ourselves, you will find basic grocery items in the pantry, eg tea/coffee, sugar, condiments and continental breakfast items such as cereal etc. Please help yourself if any of these would help make your stay more comfortable. A very pleasant 10 minute walk takes you to the general store in Kaiteriteri (petrol is available there as well), otherwise a 15 minute drive to Motueka gives you the choice of 2 well-provisioned supermarkets.
Linen
The beds are made up with sheets, duvets etc, bath towels/face cloths are provided and there are additional supplies in the wardrobe in bedroom 2 if you need them.
Please bring your own beach towels.
Housekeeping Service
As much as we would love to be on site to help if you need us, regretfully if you are in our holiday home, we are probably in residence in Christchurch! The apartment will be fully serviced by a professional housekeeper prior to your arrival. Spare linen is available if required and the washing machine allows you to turnaround linen if your stay is longer.
So, if you would like turn down service and a chocolate on your pillow, you will need to ask your loved one to do that for you!
For practical purposes we need to follow a general guideline of arrival time after 2pm and departure time by 10am to allow the housekeeper time to service the apartment. However, we can be more flexible if there are no bookings directly before or after your stay.
Special Notes
The apartment is not suitable for children or pets – sorry, and we are completely non-smoking, inside and outside on the balconies.
Minimum stay is 2 nights.
There are a number of steps to reach Apartment #6, so please be mindful of this if you have difficulty negotiating steps.
Kaiteriteri accommodation is in hot demand and short supply between November and February, so please book early so you’re not disappointed.
Outside of these times the area is much quieter and an absolute delight to be visiting. Even in winter the temperatures are usually milder than other regions in New Zealand. Just pack an extra sweater, bring a waterproof jacket and sturdy walking shoes and you’ll find the area a fantastic escape.
Car Parking
There is an on-site car park for your convenience.
On Site Recreational Facilities
The residents of the Abel Tasman Apartments have shared use of an on-site swimming pool, 2 spa pools and a sauna, conveniently located immediately above and below Number 6. Sooo easy – you’ll love it.
